This English version is for information only. The Dutch version is legally authoritative. Algemene voorwaarden

In brief

  • Work starts after you accept our written quote and we receive the 35% deposit.
  • Free reschedule or cancel until 5 days before the session; after that, article 7 applies.
  • Mix and mastering include up to 2 revision rounds; we keep session files for 18 months.
  • Dutch law applies; EU consumers may also use courts in their home country where permitted.

1. Scope

These terms apply to all services provided by Natickpixelhub B.V. (the studio or we), operator of Natickpixelhub, Kinkerstraat 312, 1053 ES Amsterdam. They cover Vocal recording, Mixing, Mastering, Podcast recording and Voice-over as described on services and in your quote.

Specific terms in a quote or order confirmation prevail. By accepting a quote you confirm you have read these terms and our legal notice and privacy policy.

2. Definitions

TermMeaning
ClientThe natural or legal person accepting a quote.
ConsumerA natural person acting for purposes outside trade, business or profession.
Business clientA company, label, agency or other professional ordering services.
QuoteThe written offer stating scope, date, duration, price incl. and excl. VAT, deposit and any special terms.
SessionThe reserved studio slot with an engineer, or agreed remote working time.
Business dayMonday to Friday, excluding public holidays in the Netherlands.
Deposit35% of the agreed price incl. VAT due when booking.

3. Quotes and contract formation

Requests via contact, phone or email result in a written quote. We usually reply within 2 business days. Quotes are valid for 30 days unless another period is stated.

The contract is formed when you accept the quote in writing (email is sufficient) and the deposit has cleared on our account. Until then the time slot is not firmly reserved. For distance contracts we confirm booking details by email.

4. Prices and VAT

Website rates are guide prices incl. 21% VAT, for example Vocal recording from €98 per hour, Mixing at €192 per track, Mastering at €105 per track, Podcast recording at €115 per recording hour and Voice-over at €122 per studio hour. The accepted quote price is binding.

For business clients we state amounts excl. VAT where relevant (e.g. €80.99). Extra time beyond the booked block is charged only with your approval, at the service hourly rate. Travel, parking or third-party costs are excluded unless listed on the quote.

5. Payment

The deposit is 35% of the agreed price incl. VAT and is offset against the balance. Payment by bank transfer; cash in the studio is limited to legal thresholds.

Consumers pay the balance on the session day or when final files are delivered for remote work. Business clients pay within 21 days of invoice date unless agreed otherwise. Late payment may incur statutory commercial interest and reasonable recovery costs.

Until full payment we may withhold final masters; working sessions remain subject to article 10.

6. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer and conclude a distance contract, you generally have 14 days to withdraw without giving reasons, unless a statutory exception applies.

If you ask us to start before that period ends, you must do so explicitly. If you withdraw after partial performance, you pay a proportionate amount for work already done. The right lapses once the service has been fully performed within the period, after your express consent to start and acknowledgement that the right lapses on full performance.

Notify withdrawal clearly by email to [email protected] or in writing to our registered address. Refunds are made within 14 days using the same payment method unless you agree otherwise.

7. Reschedule and cancellation by the client

TimingEffect
More than 5 calendar days before the sessionFree reschedule or cancellation with full deposit refund within 14 days.
5 days or less before the sessionDeposit remains due; we may offer one reschedule within three months if capacity allows.
No-show or same-day cancellationFull session fee is due unless you prove force majeure.

Requests must be confirmed in writing after phone contact. Late arrival shortens the session without refund if the next slot is booked.

8. Cancellation by the studio

If essential equipment fails, the engineer is unavailable or similar events occur, we notify you promptly and offer another date. If that does not work, we refund all payments for the cancelled session within 14 days. We do not substitute the named engineer without your consent when the quote names them.

9. Running sessions

Hours: Monday–Friday 09:30–18:30, Saturday 12:00–16:00 (by appointment only). Closed on Sunday.. The studio has 4 rooms, including a live room of about 24 m² and a vocal booth of about 10 m²; podcast setup seats up to 4 people.

Participants under 16 need written consent from a parent or guardian who books and pays; a responsible adult stays on site. You must treat gear and rooms carefully and follow safety instructions. No smoking or vaping indoors. We may stop a session if safety is at risk; the session fee remains due.

See recording day checklist and vocal recording, mixing, mastering, podcast recording and voice-over sessions.

10. Files, delivery and archive

Unless the quote says otherwise, we deliver common formats (e.g. 24-bit WAV) via secure download or media you supply. Mix and mastering timelines start when complete, usable source files arrive.

We retain session and project files for 18 months after the last activity on the job, then delete them unless longer storage is agreed in writing. You are responsible for backups. See export stems for mixing and streaming loudness targets.

11. Revisions

Mixing and Mastering include 2 revision rounds as described on each service page. One round means one bundled list of notes handled in a single pass. Extra rounds or a new artistic direction after approval are quoted separately.

12. Intellectual property

Your works. Music, lyrics and other material you provide remain yours. You warrant you have the rights to samples, covers and performances used. You handle collective management declarations where required.

Recordings. When you commission and pay for recording, you are generally the producer under neighbouring rights law. Natickpixelhub B.V. does not claim your phonogram rights after full payment.

Studio materials. Our internal templates and presets remain our property. We do not use your recordings to train AI or clone voices without separate written consent.

References. We mention your name or project only with your written approval.

13. Liability

We perform services with the care expected of a professional studio. Artistic outcome also depends on your preparation and choices; we do not guarantee a specific chart or streaming result.

Liability is limited to direct damage caused by an attributable breach, capped at the invoice amount incl. VAT for that job, except where mandatory law requires more (including bodily injury). See also the disclaimer.

14. Force majeure

Neither party is liable for failure caused by force majeure (e.g. prolonged power failure, government measures, major telecom outage). The affected party informs the other promptly. Sessions are rescheduled; if force majeure lasts more than 28 days or no date works, either party may terminate with refund of prepaid unused services.

15. Personal data

We process personal data under our privacy policy. When a business client supplies data about guests or artists, our data processing agreement applies where relevant.

16. Complaints

Complaints about delivered work should be sent promptly in writing to [email protected] with a clear description. We respond within 2 business days with a proposed solution.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by Dutch law. EU consumers may also use courts in their country of residence where permitted.

Disputes between businesses are submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam unless mandatory law differs. Consumers may use the ODR platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

18. Final provisions

If a clause is void, the rest remains in force and the void clause is replaced by a valid one closest in purpose. Failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. We may amend these terms; the version at quote acceptance applies. In case of translation, the Dutch text prevails.
